About This Place

La Fiesta stands as a vibrant gem in the heart of Mountain View, offering an authentic Mexican dining experience that honors traditional flavors with a contemporary touch. Nestled at 240 Villa St, this beloved Mexican restaurant has earned a loyal following thanks to its rich, comforting dishes and inviting atmosphere that feels like a warm abrazo from an old friend.

Step inside La Fiesta and you are greeted by an ambiance that balances nostalgia with lively charm—perfect for casual dinners, family gatherings, or a spirited night out. The restaurant’s menu is a flavorful journey through Mexican culinary heritage, showcasing a beautiful variety of dishes that deliver on both freshness and depth of taste.

Start your meal with their famous Chips and Salsa and Guacamole, where the crisp corn chips paired with vibrant, house-made salsas set the stage for what’s to come. Among the appetizers, the Nachos and Cheese Quesadillas come highly recommended and boast bold, gooey cheese and perfectly seasoned toppings that awaken the palate.

For those craving heartier fare, the burritos are a highlight—each packed with carefully cooked meats and distinct sauces. The Al Pollo Burrito features succulent chicken in red or green sauces, while the Colorado Burrito indulges with tender beef simmered in a rich red guajillo sauce. The De Mole Poblano Burrito invites you to savor a harmonious blend of chicken, beef, and pork infused with complex, chocolaty mole flavors that speak to deep-rooted Mexican traditions.

Seafood lovers will delight in the Camarones Al Chorizo, where tiger prawns are sautéed with house-made chorizo, onions, and tomatoes creating layers of smoky, savory goodness. The Camarones Picantes offer a fiery kick with chipotle and guajillo peppers, a dish that promises to excite the senses without overwhelming the palate.

The menu also offers comforting classics like the Enchilada & Chile Relleno combo—each bite is a rich tapestry of melted cheese, roasted peppers, and that signature “mama’s special sauce” noted by many patrons for its luscious tomato, cheese, and spice blend. For a soulful touch, the Tortilla Soup and Caldo De Pollo with Tortillas provide the kind of comforting warmth reminiscent of home-cooked meals.

To cap off a memorable meal, indulge in their creamy Flan or the decadent Chocolate Cake, which perfectly balance sweetness with traditional Mexican flavors. And no visit to La Fiesta is complete without sampling one of their stellar margarita varieties—from the classic house margarita to the zesty Gran Marnier Margarita and the exotic Yucatán Margarita—each crafted with precision to complement the rich flavors of the food.

What truly sets La Fiesta apart is not just its menu but the experience it offers. Consistent praise from guests highlights the attentive, friendly service and the comforting feel of a place that has been a Mountain View fixture for years. Some guests appreciate the nostalgic touch that recalls Mexico City’s culinary spirit, while others find the meal a perfect blend of familiar and exciting flavors.

While some note the pricing is a bit higher than other local Mexican eateries, the quality, authenticity, and generous portions make it well worth it. Whether you’re craving the hearty Chile Verde Plate, a fresh Vegetarian Salad, or one of the flavorful Antojitos like the Antojitos Chicken, La Fiesta delivers an experience that engages all senses and leaves a lasting impression.

In all, La Fiesta is more than just a restaurant—it’s a flavorful journey back to authentic Mexican roots, served with warmth and passion. Whether you’re a longtime local or a visitor seeking genuine Mexican cuisine in Mountain View, La Fiesta promises a meal that satisfies both heart and palate.

A solid Mexican restaurant in old downtown Mountain View that has been around for many years. The food they serve reminds one the old times. Their mama’s special sauce over chicken or enchiladas has a unique combination of tomato sauce, cheese, and spices, very rich and memorable. Chicken soup was homey. Service was attentive. Price is a bit high compared to other Mexican restaurants. We only wish they would serve some vegetables (e.g., lettuce and tomatoes) on the side as many other Mexican restaurants do.

Just came back from Mexico City. I went there looking for an authentic culinary experience that wasn’t your typical street taco. ….To tell the truth, I was a bit thrown back. La Fiesta, the spot just down the road that I’ve been going to for years IS that experience. I just didn’t realize it until I was in the heart of Mexico Great drinks and tons of Margarita variations. I like the Yucatán I like a lot of the Pollo variations but I usually get Pollo Rajas or the chicken Enchiladas. On the enchiladas I typically ask for them “divorciados” with the Mole sauce and the Grandma’s special sauce or sometimes the Red. I get them “Tampiqueño” (with Steak added) sometimes too. I like to branch out and try new things but the grandmas sauce is just so good, so divorciados allows me to test new things while still getting my fix. My dad likes the Chile Colorado.

Coming here for many years. The bean and rice is always a must here. Their tacos are mediocre. The meats are kinda dry with no flavor but everything else like their enchiladas, chile relleno, etc are the best.

Excellent service and very tasty food. I got grandma's especial, and although the chicken and sauce is the star, I enjoyed the rice and beans as much. Make sure to ask for a couple of tortillas to mop up the sauce. It's nice that it's not on Castro street. It makes the place feel calmer and more like having dinner at someone's home.
